I don't have any texture issues, but I hate the flavor of cucumbers, and its transfers to everything they touch. Unripe watermelon... also tastes similar to cucumber.
For years, I hated watermelon until I was pregnant with my second child. He overturned 25 years of hating! My younger sister still hates it, though.
And the cucumber hatred comes from my mom. My younger sister hates it as much as I do, and my son hates it. I think my daughter can actually eat it, and AFAIK, my sister's kids are okay with it? But that hate clearly came down through the DNA. :O
