I think (hope) most kids have things they get up to that aren't really dangerous but are a little more adventurous than their parents realize. Are you down by the creek, just waiting to get your fingers pinched by crawdads? Or up a tree, under a bridge, or squashing pennies on a railroad track? It's all part of what childhood used to be, and should still be where possible. :)
