This is so wonderful, even after two readings! You have a fantastic way with writing about children and their (sometimes weird) view of the world. Downgrading the kiss to the prettiest girl in school made me laugh, although I wonder what she would say about it. Having a bucket list for the summer would be such a great thing to do at that age. For me, peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are suspect, but peanut butter and pickle relish falls into the "food eaten on a dare" category.
